Our first shop was an old 1500 sq ft shop with a lean-to. It was a great start for us since most of our work was mobile. Eventually, the need for a bigger, better, and brighter shop became apparent.

We still offer mobile welding along with picker/crane service.
ABOUT US
Early in 2005, Julius decided to start his own welding business. He saw the need for mobile welders but with bigger equipment. He bought a 1998 Freightliner 5-ton Cube Delivery Truck with the idea of remodeling it into a one-of-a-kind welding truck. The van body came off and was replaced with a Heila Crane (50’ reach), a nice set of tool chests, an area for a big welder, and an 8’ long flat deck. Later, a Metal Master iron-worker was added to the deck. (Spring of 2025 we officially retired the Freightliner. We moved the crane, welder, and flat-deck to a ‘new-to-us’ 2005 International.)
April 1, 2005 saw Julius go out on his first service call. The crane was put to good use – as the customer said ‘it’s better than an employee’. Julius spent many hours and drove many miles with this truck repairing and fabricating. This included everything from farm equipment to sawmill equipment.
Large or small, complicated or simple, clean or dirty, Julius did it all.
There were times when Julius couldn’t go out on a service call because of the weather – you can’t weld in the rain.
Fall of 2011 the shell of our current shop went up. What a joy it was when Julius could work indoors. Nice heated floors, bright walls, an overhead crane, etc. Gradually the focus of the business became in-shop.
Spring of 2023 we put an addition onto our shop to accommodate large trailers and for a paint area. Along the way, we’ve been blessed with great, hard-working employees. They do the hard, heavy work while Julius can focus on the management aspect of the business.
